Dr Robert "Bob" Howard
Bob started rowing in 1953, to the right are photos from his Amherst crew. Originally from Cincinnati OH, he competed at the Nationals in 2005 in his 70's with his crew in a 4+! He continues to honor the sport of rowing, participating in on-water sculling. His daughter Carol followed in his footsteps and has her own rowing club in Elizabeth City, NC. Bob is the Matriarch of VRC.

Amanda T.
Amanda started rowing as an adult several years ago and enjoys teaching others to love this sport as much as she does. Amanda enjoys working as an Occupational Therapist, health is her middle name.
Coach Will B.
Will joined the club several years ago and has been overseeing the Learn2gRow program. He graduated as an Engineer and has been competing across USA since his teens.

Rachel P.
Rachel started rowing from her late teens competing across Ireland. Her fave boat is the 2-. She enjoys running her own business and is a certified yoga instructor.
